One of our primary business goals is to help the public find smaller museums.
We created the MuseumsUSA.org portal as a way to aggregate the smaller museums into one database
that would have a front page ranking in major search engines such as Google.
To be effective in our strategy, we need high quality descriptive information about museums.
We have provided templates that help structure that information and we encourage
updating museum listings frequently.
You can cut and paste from other documents to complete our template.
MuseumsUSA knows how important it is to get current information to potential clients.
Currently, about two thirds of the MuseumsUSA traffic is by users in search of museum information.
You can update your profile easily online and we are usually able to process it within 24 hours.
Here are the major headings for information to be listed:
||Address and directions
||Hours and holidays
We have recently added an enhanced event feature which will display your listed events not only for your museum,
but with other local museums as well as city, State and National searches.
We encourage you to list often as we allow an almost unlimited time span.
You can access the event template here.
