It was designed by a world-class team known for other highly successful museums that reinvigorated communities, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C.

The mining park offers a self-guided walking tour through 110 acres of original circa 1900 Tonopah mining ground. Includes an underground adventure, three complete hoisting works, five mines, numerous original buildings housing a wide variety of artifacts and exhibits, extensive mineral collection including a black light mineral display, research library and gift shop.
