The Galleries located on the campus of Ringling College of Art and Design—which include the William G. & Marie Selby Gallery, Richard & Barbara Basch Gallery, Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. Galleries, Patricia Thompson Gallery, Arland & Sally Christ-Janer Gallery and Crossley Gallery—provide community programming in the form of lectures, forums, panel discussions, and performing arts events.

Ten years of hard work and dreaming on the part of many Goldenrod citizens came to fruition on Friday, August 11, 2000. On that day, the Goldenrod Historical Society accepted the keys to the Goldenrod Fire Station from Orange County as the first step in developing a new Community Center to be called the Goldenrod Station and Museum. Celebration of the Grand Opening of the Museum was held on October 6, 2001.

The Grand Oaks Museum is home to one of the world’s largest private collections of carriages and equine artifacts. Step back in time and enjoy the elegance and pageantry of over 160 European and American Carriages, including the elaborate 1850 Armbruster Dress Chariot once owned by Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph, and his wife, Elisabeth.
