Philip Foster was one of Oregon's earliest settlers, arriving with his family by ship via Cape Horn and the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii) in 1843. The Post Rock Scout Museum was created in 2004 by Kathie Crispin, a long-time member of Girl Scouts and collector of Girl Scouts memorabilia. The collection now on display in the museum also includes memorabilia from Girl Guides, Pioneer Girls, Camp Fire Girls, Girl Reserves, and Boy Scouts. The items in the museum are a combination of her own purchases and trades, and the donations from former scouts in her community and across the country.

Postal History Foundation consists of an Education Department, through which students receive free postage stamps for their classroom work. We have a postoffice from 1895, with many postal artifacts from the years since then. We have a working contract postal station, which is the only outlet in the state of Arizona to get all new postage stamp releases. We have a research library, with about 30,000 titles, concentrating on philately, postal history, and US Civil War history.
