Built in 1915 by Bing Lee, this gambling hall was in continuous operation until 1950 when the Sacramento County officials closed its doors. The name Dai Loy means ‘Big Welcome’ in Chinese. Pai Ngow, Fan Tan, and the Chinese lottery using 80 Chinese characters were the games of chance that were popular among Chinese gamblers. It is now restored as a museum with displays of the games and tables and Chinese artifacts as well as archival photographs from the Delta.

The rich history of the people who originally lived, and those who later settled the "Middle Border Region" is unbelievable here at Dakota Discovery Museum. From 1600 you can see the ways of the American Indian change and develop as the pioneer settlers move across the Middle Border Region. Indian artifacts include delicate porcupine quillwork and beadwork. There are changing exhibits of historical and artistic nature.

Seasonal festivals during the spring (March-April) and again in the fall (October-November) celebrate the glorious floral displays and also include entertainment, kids' activities and exhibits.

Since 1995, the institutional emphasis has moved away from its main focus for the first 30 years of its existence- acquiring new historical structures - to doing more with what it already has on hand. More resources are now being devoted to expanding educational programs and staging special events.

The Dana-Thomas House re-opened on Thursday, April 23, 2009.
"In 1902, Frank Lloyd Wright was commissioned to undertake the design and construction of a massive renovation of the Lawrence family home in Springfield, Illinois. The home was to be more than a mere residence -- it was to be a showcase. Upon its completion in 1904, the new edifice completely engulfed the original home. It immediately became a symbol of artistic and architectural excellence.

The Daniel Hertzler House Museum offer visitors a glimpse of Clark County's history through the eyes of an early entrepreneur. Hertzler was Mennonnite farmer who came to Ohio from Lancaster, PA. and amassed a large fortune through several mills, lending money, and farming over 1000 acres.His 1854 bank-style house is filled with antiques of the pre-Civil War era including many items that belonged to the Hertzler family.

Contains three art galleries with rotating exhibitions of contemporary works, and a permanent exhibit: Between the Lines: Danville 1861 - 1865. Main focus is Danville history and the history of the mansion. Stratford collections consist of 16 - 20th century American, European, and Asian artifacts.

The DAR John Strong Mansion Museum was built in the mid-1790's by General John Strong and his wife Agnes McClure Strong to replace the family's cabin that had been burned by the Indian and Tory forces under General John Burgoyne. Five generations of the Strong family occupied this lovely home until around the Civil War.

Furnished as it would have been in the 1820s, the museum is an authentic period restoration.
