Belmont, The Gari Melchers Estate and Memorial Gallery, in Stafford County near Fredericksburg, Virginia, is the former residence of the American figure painter Gari Melchers (1860-1932). The museum consists of the artist's home, studio and gardens. The stone studio and galleries house the largest collection of Melchers' works anywhere. Gari Melchers was one of the most decorated artists of his day. Today he is virtually unknown.

The administration offices were also located in the building. In the 1940s, kindergarten classes were started in the basement level and during the 1970s, the building housed "Continuing Education" and "Head Start" programs.

"The Cabin in Wildflower Woods" lies nestled on the shore of Sylvan Lake, near Rome City, Indiana. It is the former home of Gene Stratton-Porter, one of Indiana’s most widely read authors and one of the world’s first and best nature photographers. Her writing career began when her first piece was accepted by Recreation magazine for which she received $16. She wrote regularly for this publication for two years and then joined the staff of Outing, a national natural history magazine.

"The General Israel Putnam Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, has enjoyed a distinguished and esteemed one hundred year history. It was organized and has been run by a long line of dedicated, committed women, who descended from many different founders and leaders of our great nation. On April 19, 1895 twenty charter members formed the chapter in honor of General Israel Putnam, a Revolutionary War soldier, born in Danvers, Massachusetts, January 7, 1718.
