The Benson Hammond House serves as the Ann Arrundell County Historical Society's headquarters and museum. A truck farm from 1830-1930, the museum contains many artifacts from local truck farms and contains an extensive picker check collection that reflects the system used by early farmers in the area to pay farm workers.

The chief responsability of the AAHS is the operation and management of the 1838 Raney House Museum which is owned by the City of Apalachicola and was officially recorded in National Register of Historic Places on January 22, 1973. The Raney House Museum has on display furniture, documents and other artifacts from the 19th century.

Asa Waters II was born in 1769 in the section of Sutton which later became Millbury in 1813. He learned the art of gunsmithing in his father’s shop. Because of lucrative government contracts, the armory, which he and his brother founded, prospered. He was founder of the Millbury Bank and became a State Representative in 1823.
His plan to erect the stateliest residence in the country for his wife, Susan Holman Waters, was set in motion in 1824.

Cole Digges, a Revolutionary War hero, built his house in Richmond in 1805. Renovated in 1995, the building now houses the statewide offices of Preservation Virginia, which are open by appointment. The Cole Digges House is located in the Historic Franklin Street District of Richmond.

The Cupertino Historical Society & Muesum houses approximately 3000 artifacts spanning over 100 years of Cupertino's history - including settlement, agriculture, education, home life, and business. 1823, the General Assembly deeded the land and provided the funds for the first structure built on this site. The legislative act stated that the land and the funding was to be used to erect a "House of Divine Worship, free for all denominations to worship in...." The little House of Divine Worship was used by many denominations and also as a school and meeting room. As time passed the congregations grew and eventually built their own churches.

Headquartered on the property of the Andrew Johnston house in Pearisburg, Virginia, the society offers a museum, research center, gift shop, and the Andrew Johnston house itself, which, being built in 1829, is believed to be the oldest brick home in Giles County.The museum complex consists of the 1829 Andrew Johnson House, 1857 Doctor's Office, Research Office and Historical Museum.

On October 10, 1969 a group of community-prided people formed the Greece Historical Society with a dedicated goal: “To preserve the past for the future.” In 1989 a restored 1870s farm house was opened as the Greece Museum and in 1995 the Newcomb Heritage Hall was added to feature exhibits of local history. Many adults, schoolchildren and families as well as our members appreciate the history on display.
