The upper Swan Valley area is unique in that it still retains a plethora of evidence of its varied history. There still exist old Indian trails crisscrossing our mountains. Old trapper cabins and marten notched trees are still around on the landscape. This area was homesteaded and settled at a relatively late date, primarily from the mid-1910's and later, with many artifacts and buildings of that particular era still in existence.

The Museum was opened June 2, 2009. Previously, the Artillery Collection was part of the Fort Sill National Historic Landmark and Museum collection. Our collection includes a representation of uniforms from each era. We have added many new pieces and exhibits to peak the interest of any history or artillery buff.

The interior galleries have been closed and are relocating to Ft Lee. THE MOVE TO FT LEE IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED IN 2012. There is no longer an operational website or email access for the museum; phone only.
