The museum houses 5,000 years of artistic expression from across Asia and the Pacific in a California historic landmark building. The museum is a community asset that houses many of the Pleasant Valley Chumas Indians and pioneer families artifacts, photos and documents. We own one of three rare Chumas Indian woven baskets in Ventura County and several Camarillo family artifacts, pictures and clothing. The botanical garden is a teaching garden for children and the annual Living History Day is designed for children to learn how the pioneers lived.
