In keeping with our storyline, we are attempting to tell the history of the Military Forces of Texas. At this time, we begin in 1835 and go to the present time, but somday, we must tell the story of the local militias when Spain and Mexico ruled Texas. My vision is for our museum to become the focal point in our state for the portrayal, the research and the study and the propagation throughout Texas and the United States of the history and traditions of the Texas Military Forces.

The Museum was founded to exhibit items that showcase the highlights of technological developments in the 20th century. While this may seem too recent a subject for a historical museum, with the rapid pace of technological change, items from the first half of the 20th century are truly "museum pieces" at this point in time. Technology from the latter half of the century may not seem so antiquated, but items from this period help to show how the earlier items relate to current technology.
