When she was commissioned in 1914, the USS TEXAS was the most powerful weapon in the world. She is now the only surviving U.S. naval vessel to have seen service in both World Wars.

Our museum is located in the cradle of Texas. Stephen F Austin, himself, named the town, and Jane Long operated a hotel/tavern here for the years when Texas was forming it's republic. It is located in the oldest public building in Brazoria.
