The museum is dedicated to John Brown on the farm he once owned. The farm site, including the museum, is owned and maintained by Gary and Donna Coburn. The museum is open daily, except Mondays, without charge from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., April 15 through Oct 31. A short path from the tannery site to the museum passes by twin ponds believed to have supplied the Brown homestead with water.
