The museum is located at 824 East Avenue on the square in Wellington. Exhibits tell the story of the county beginning when Indians wandered through the area, through the invsasion by land barons as they built large ranches, the occupation of much of that land by homesteaders when barb wire and windmills made it possible for family farms to become established. Today's history is being made by well-educated farmers and ranchers with the latest techniques and equipment in peanut and cotton farming, livestock, and game hunt leasing. Exhibits in the Art Center are usually by local or Panhandle artists, prepared by the Collingworth Art League.
