The public is invited to our monthly all-media, juried art shows, the forth Friday of each month and are encouraged to participate in our programs, shows and events.

Art Works provides an outreach program to children in the neighborhood. This program, Children’s Art in the Neighborhood (CAN) is free and open to children ages 6 – 15.

Carter's Grove

This structure houses two museums. Carter's Grove, a James River plantation with a history spanning 400 years. The house was built in the 1750s by Carter Burwell and was restored to the Colonial Revival style in the 1930s by Mr. and Mrs. Archibald McRea. The Archaeology museum is a permanent collection of early 17th century Native American artifacts excavated from the Wolstenholme Towne site. Operated by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
