It is both a gallery featuring Buffalo and regional African American artists, and a central gathering place for cultural and community events.
Geneseo, New York
General, Historical Society
The Livingston County Historical Society is very proud of the fine museum
which it operates at 30 Center Street in the village of Geneseo, New York. The
museum is housed in the attractive cobblestone building which served as a
district school for nearly a century. This 1838 structure, as delightful in
atmosphere as it is handsome in design, lends itself ideally for use as a
Museum of Local History.

The historic site's stately trees, rolling hills, and picturesque views from the house and gardens situated on the highest bluff above the river all combine to create the natural landscape garden that Morse found so appealing.
Morse was strongly influenced by romantic 19th century landscape garden design.
