Catalina Island Museum

Located on the ground floor of the historic Casino Building in Avalon, the Catalina Island Museum explores the Island's rich cultural heritage. Permanent exhibits illustrate unique elements of Catalina's history including its evolution as a resort community, its role as the Chicago Cubs Spring Training venue, its links to Hollywood, and its prominence in the decorative tile and pottery industry. Docent led, tile walking tours are offered at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays (reservations required). Annual events include a Silent Film Benefit in June, a Tile and Pottery Extravaganza in September, and an Open House at Mt. Ada in December.

Channel Islands Maritime Museum

Chico Air Museum

Located in an original 1941 Army Air Corps Hangar in Chico Municipal Airport, the Chico Air Museum a great way to learn about the incredible Aviation History in the Northern Sacramento Valley. Dating back to 1911 with the incredible Thaddeus Kerns, the history spans early airliners, development of air tankers, military flight training, record setting high altitude balloon research and even a Titan I atomic missile base.

Children's Peace Exhibit

The Children’s Peace Exhibit is a rotating exhibit which changes several times a year. The purpose of the exhibit is to educate others as to the plight of children worldwide and ways in which each one of us can make a difference. It has interactive stations as well as fantastic artwork. Some exhibits are from other museums around the country displaying a refugee camp, the Holocaust, child soldiers and other child rights challenges rarely seen or talked about.
