The Allegheny Portage Railroad has many interesting things to see. Visit the Lemon House- a historic tavern built to accommodate travelers. Discover the Engine House- a replica of the many buildings that made up the Portage Railroad. Watch a movie in our visitor center and browse the many exhibits and models. Drive out to the Staple Bend Tunnel unit to hike and explore the nine hundred foot tunnel (remember you need to walk 2 miles each direction when visiting the tunnel).

The Museum is located next door to the Judson House. The Museum is now owned by the Historical Society and is part of the Historical Society Complex. Built on the site of the original French fort, this modern building includes numerous exhibits on the Indians who lived here, the French and British fur trade, and archeological excavations of the site that was conducted by Edinboro University.

The Society Library will open for the season on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Volunteers will be on hand to help patrons with research projects on local history,genealogy and the Civil War. The Library will then be open for regular hours on Wednesdays from April through November from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM. The Museum will officially open for tours on Saturday May 7 with its annual Open House. This is a rare opportunity to tour the museum on a weekend day.

Many Philadelphians sought to emulate the English country estate tradition by constructing brick and stone formal houses in the countryside. Attorney John Moland had one such house on a plantation in the Northern Liberties, just above the current center city. In 1741 he purchased undeveloped land in Warwick Township along the Little Neshaminy Creek and adjacent to the York Road connecting bustling Philadelphia with the smaller New York City.

The Museum of Indian Culture aims to educate the public about Native American cultures through guided tours, special events, educational programs, and a comprehensive resource library. The Museum's Turtle Island gift shop features items that are certified tribal-made. These items include pottery, food, dreamcatchers, jewelry, beadwork, and children's items.

The Paper Mill House and Museum originally provided housing, in the 1800's for industrial workers who worked in the mills along Darby Creek. A large addition was added circa 1820. The older section was converted to a general store, circa 1845, to provide for the needs of the workers. Darby Creek runs through the property to the east of the building.

The Pocono Indian Museum is the only museum in Northeastern Pennsylvania dedicated to showing the history of the Delaware Indian. The museum will both inform and, perhaps, shock you. It will show the North American history of man in Northeastern Pennsylvania from 10,500 B.C. to the contact period with European man prior to the American Revolution. It will show the Delaware Indian's peaceful coexistence with other Indians.

The Rostraver Township Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of history, artifacts, historic buildings, and, with a primary interest in bringing public awareness to the importance of this mission, emphasizing the uniqueness of the area. The RTHS meets at the Historic Fells Methodist Church, the first Methodist Church to locate in Rostraver Township.
