Description
The Museum complex houses 4 US Army museum, the Engineer, Chemical, and Military Police Museum present the their individual corps history while the Fort Leonard Wood Museum presents the history of Fort Leonad Wood as an Army installation.
History
The Fort Leonard Wood Museum has been in place for over 25 years. The US Army Engineer Museum moved to Fort Leonard Wood from Fort Belvoir, VA, in 1990, and the Chemical and Military Police museum moved to Fort Leonard Wood from Fort McCellan, AL, in 1999. The Chemical and Military Police museum were fully completed in 2003, although many galleries were opened to the public as early as 2000.
