President Bill Clinton's 1st Home Museum & Exhibit Center & Museum Store have welcomed 54,000 visitors from 158 countries, from the North Pole to Antarctica and all around the Equator. One-third of our visitors are form other countries. They see Clinton not as the U.S. ex-president but as their current global statesman, and often related stories of how his diplomacy has positively influenced their countries, communities and lives. Our exhibits continually expand to convey the links of influence from Clinton's extended family, friends and experiences that are now relflected in his policies and ideas around the world.
Opened June 2007. The museum was initiated by Friends of Bill with thousands of local and international donations to acquire and restore Bill's 1st home where he lived with his widowed mother and his grandparents. He was in and out of this home until he was ten. Soon the site will join the National Park Service's Presidential Sites. Please visit our page on their website: www.cr.nps.gov/nr/travel
Currently underway, the archive will include personal papers and ephimera from local individuals concerning their work or reminiscenes about Bill and his childhood family. Not yet available to the public.
School tours are welcome. Museum offers student packets. Please call in advance.
