The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada located in Carson City is a place to explore, play, imagine and learn. Our museum is just five blocks from the Nevada State Capitol and across the street from the Nevada State Museum. You can even eat lunch here!
The Children’s Museum includes interactive exhibits for all ages that help to reinforce curriculum standards.
Nevada History Exhibit – Engage students with a Scavenger Hunt that looks at Nevada state history, symbols, counties, and politics. See how much there is to know about Nevada!
Archeological Dig - With a hard hat and protective goggles students pick and brush away stone to reveal bones and rocks in this authentic exhibit.
Grocery Store Check-Out – Students buy and sell grocery products to make a well-balanced diet. What a practical place to practice addition and subtraction.
Music Center – Reinforce music skills at the keyboard, or play on the “walk-on” piano

Science workshops are offered every second Saturday from 10-11 am.
Our museum shop is always adding new items related to our exhibits. We also carry museum T-shirts, books, puzzles, magnet sets, jewelry and much more! Museum members can receive up to a 20% discount on purchases.
There isn't a better way to spend your birthday than at the Children's Museum! Great for all ages, the museum offers a special birthday party room and fees include room use for 2 hours, special gift for the birthday child, and all paper products (plates, cups, napkins, silverware, and party hats). We even set up before and clean up after your party!
