Description

The Echoes Through Time learning center is the ONLY Civil War museum in Western New York.

We are the Echoes through Time Learning Center or ETT for short. We are a type Educational “hands on” Civil War museum. Our Learning Center is involved in a variety of educational studies; programs; demonstrations and interpreting. We are a place for: learning, research & history… But our Learning Center is not in your traditional museum type of setting.

Half of our exhibits are not under glass, so that our guest can actually “touch” many of the actual items displayed. We provide a wide variety of educational / historical programs, covering most any subject / topic of the antebellum years. We also have available a number of local / regional tours, and provide a battlefield tour guide service.

Services
Tours

Our historical & battlefield tours are done in uniform / period dress, by our staff. We cove most of the major actions at selected battlefield sites. We give our “hands-on” insight of equipment & weapons, as we describe and intrepid these hollowed grounds, while touring

Although firearms are not permitted on Federal property, especially the National Battlefield Parks or state owned parks, we do have non-firing weapons which we use on occasions to assist in our programs to help you understand the battlefields actions better, and life of the soldier.

It would not be uncommon to see a field artillery piece, and have a mock demonstration on “how” this field piece was fired. Having the tour group take the places of a nine man gun crew, and handle a “wooden” projectile and “pretend” to load & fire this piece by the numbers.

As we tour the battlefields, we will tell you some of the histories, stories, facts and the outcome, to help you to understand better the actions that took place at these sites.
