Description

We are a very small house museum located in a very small town. Our projects include more tourism which is increasing. Our major headache is space. We need more space for our artifacts, more storage, and a larger gift shop. Of course, the main problem is financial.

History

In 1911, an enterprising young American, Dr. Paul Donigan, built a two-story home for himself and his wife. The house served both as the doctor's office and the couple's residence. Waller County Commissioner Court bought the Donigan home in 1977. The building was renovated, preserving the original spirit of the house, and the historical house museum was opened to the public in 1979. The restored house, furnished in period antiques, also features displays of early medical equipment, artifacts from the area, and highlights from the county's history
