Description

Our museum was founded in 1990 with a goal to educate the people of Lavaca County and other visitors of the rich history of our surrounding towns. we have the Old-Timers Baseball Hall of Fame and the Military exhibit that show photos of our local heros and the souvenirs that were brought back from different war eras. Our museum also depicts the way things were in the years gone by and tours from local schools children are fascinated by the appliances that were used long ago, as well as hands on exhibits, example. on how to wash clothes before the washing machine or how lye soap was made and how corn was taken off the cob. We also have old farm equipment that pulled by mule, horse or oxen. We have 4 exhibits every year that displays artwork from local artist to the history of our local communities.
