Description

A restored 19th century physician's residence. House began as one room in 1841 and grew to 7 bedrooms by 1860. Complete restoration including historic gardens completed in March 2005. Interpreted period decor is 1870-1885.

Artifact Collections

Mid- to late-19th century whole house antiques, artifacts and decor plus 19th century surgeon's office.

Research Collections

Ford family genealogy for 13 generations (1750 to present).

Educational Programs

For members of the Friends of the DJFHH Society - quarterly events such as parlor lectures, recitals and parties. Sep. 8, 2007 open to the public festival for Grandparents & Grandkids with activites for grandparents to demonstrate to their families what life was like when they were youngsters.
