Museum specializes exhibits on the rural schools in the area, the Chief Mishicott story( a Potawatomie Indian) for whom the village is named and also a reseach center.
Began in 1988 with the restoration of the villages' second school house built in 1873.
Potawatomie Indians, Rural School records, and village and rural farm and area artifacts.
Local high school history class uses the museum. All 4th graders come to the museum for a history presentation, A yearly bus trip to the Hannahville Potawatomi Powwow is arranged each June. A special Christmas at the Museum is put on each holiday season. sponsors the Friends of the Museum --a group of 50 volunteers.
