Current Exhibitions: Tunnels, Toil & Trouble: New York City's Quest for Water and the Rondout-Neversink Story; The Impact of Water on the Life and Growth of the Valleys; Celebrating Catskill Waters: Past and Present.

The Time and the Valleys Museum is a living and interactive resource that preserves the past, educates the present and ensures the uniqueness of the Rondout and Neversink watersheds for all generations.


To honor and preserve our history and share the heritage of our area including actively adding to the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the history and value of the Rondout and Neversink Watersheds.


The Museum was founded in 2004 and in 2011 moved to a state of the art new museum facility with over 3000 sq. ft. of exhibition space.

Research Collections

The Research Room is open Thursday and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a large collection of publications, databases, documents and other research materials.

Educational Programs

The Museum offers weekend programs for children and adults, including guided tours, talks, demonstrations, workshops and seminars.
