The Naples Museum Of Military History is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) military museum located at the Naples Airport in Southwest Florida. The museum houses more than 10,000 military artifacts from the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, and the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf wars.
Our vision is to honor the sacrifice of our military members and 1st responders by preserving artifact donations and sharing the rich history of our nation’s veterans and 1st responders.
The Naples Airport is a fitting space for the museum since it was originally built by the Army Corps of Engineers during WWII to train pilots for the Pacific theater conflict. At the peak of the war, the airport was home to more than 75 fighter and bomber aircraft as well as the pilots and aerial gunners who trained at the base.
Just recently, the Museum announced that it will not only include military artifacts, but it will also now collect and display 1st responder artifacts and history, including law enforcement, fire rescue and medical 1st responders.
If you’re interested in donating an artifact, please contact us and we’ll reach out to you directly.
The Military Museum has been granted the use of a 17,000 sq. ft building located at Golden Gate Parkway as the Collier County Veteran Service and Museum site. Now, from our current 800 sq ft artifact case displays, we can plan a first-class museum style setting with the over 5,000 artifacts, which are mostly from WW2 and have been in storage since 2020. A Sherman Tank will sit inside the building along with other Military equipment, in addition to our vast weapon collections, complete Civil War Relics, uniforms from all branches, photos, posters, documents, and many unique artifacts donated to the museum.
