Mission

To collect, preserve, and exhibit documents and artifacts in order to interpret Jasper County's agricultural, industrial, commercial, and societal history.

History

Built in 1979 to house the collections of the historical society. Expanded in 1989 to house the Maytag Company's washing machine historic collection.

We have extensive exhibitions,

5 monthly Lunch and Learn lectures, May through September
When the material leaves the museum it is accompanied by a board member who will be explaining the items.
