The Mower County Historical Society serves as the center for preserving the history of Mower County. Visitors to the Austin site will have the opportunity to view 16 buildings and 11 thematic exhibits across our fairgrounds. The Austin site is home to our research library where the public may take advantage of to research their family history or general history topics. MCHS owns and operates the GAR Hall in Grand Meadow.
It is our mission to discover, collect, preserve and disseminate knowledge about the history of Mower County and relate it to the history of the State of Minnesota.
