Former Colombian factory now houses Lubec Historical Society.

Meetings

Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. May through September meetings are held at the society's building (135 Main St. Lubec); October through April meetings are held at the Community Room at Quoddy Village Apartments (weather permitting). Come and join us!!

Membership

Membership is open to anyone interested in preserving the history of Lubec. You do "NOT" need to be a resident of Lubec to be a member, just a desire to preserve our history. Dues are $10.00 per person per ​year.

Principal repository for pictures & artifacts relating to the town of Lubec, Maine.

History

In existance for 45 years, Museum has displays on Sardine industry, ship building, schools, military, hotels, everything pertaining to Lubec in five rooms.

Artifact Collections

Artifacts on display for - sardine industry, smoked herring industry, vintage clothing, Town cannon & watering trough, school displays, military artifacts & records, former hotels ledgers & pics, & much more.

Research Collections

Death, birth, cemetery records for Lubec from the 1800’s & genealogy info.

Educational Programs

Historical talks given & programs for summer rec. & area students during the summer.

Located in the former Colombian factory store from early 1900.
