Description

The Burnett County Historical Society is located at Forts Folle Avoine Historical Park - an 80 acre site with an authentic, restored 1802-1804 Fur Post and a Woodland Indian Village. The Society manages the Historic Site as well as a History Library, restored 1800 school house and soon a logging museum.

Mission

The burnett County Historical Society at Forts Folle Avoine Historical Park provides educational opportunities to the public by researching, preserving, and teaching the history of Burnett County.

Forts Folle Avoine's Gift Shop

Forts Folle Avoine's Gift Shop is located in the Visitor Center lobby. Come see the newly expanded gift shop and its great selection of fur-trade era items

Rental of Forts Folle Avoine's Outdoor Amphitheater

Forts Folle Avoine's Outdoor Amphitheater is just down the sidewalk from the Visitor Center and offers a 300 person capacity. Beautiful trees surround the Amphitheater and just the slightest murmur of Yellow River's timeless flow adds to the seemingly reverent ambiance. The Outdoor Amphitheater is a fantastic site for special events and is offered for rental at a very reasonable rate! During past seasons, weddings, dramatic presentations, musical events, church services and even a "polka mass" have been held at the Forts Folle Avoine's amphitheater!
