The archival and library collections of The Balch have been fully integrated into the Society and relocated to 1300 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. The building at 18 S. 7th Street is for sale. There are no exhibitions nor programs being staged at the 7th Street site.

We have objects ranging from Meade's uniform to Jefferson Davis' smoking jacket, field medical kits, weaponry, even the head of General Meade's favorite horse, Old Baldy!

The Paper Mill House and Museum originally provided housing, in the 1800's for industrial workers who worked in the mills along Darby Creek. A large addition was added circa 1820. The older section was converted to a general store, circa 1845, to provide for the needs of the workers. Darby Creek runs through the property to the east of the building.

The Thomas Leiper Estate is a Registered Historic Place in Nether Providence Township, Pennsylvania. Built by Thomas Leiper around 1785, the estate was named Strath Haven after Leiper's birth place in Strathaven, Scotland. The Friends of the Leiper House offers weekend guided tours of the house from April through December.
