A wonderful groundbreaking ceremony for the new Visitors’ Orientation and Education Center was held on June 3, 2008 and was a resounding success! The new 10,000 square foot state of the art “green” building is a public-private partnership among the Cylburn Arboretum Association, the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland, the Horticultural Society of Maryland and Baltimore City Department of Recreatio

Built in 1858 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Evergreen House is a magnificent 48-room Italianate mansion on 26 wooded acres in Baltimore.

The Fire Museum of Maryland is the third largest museum of its kind in the world and offers exhibits on the history of fire fighting, hand- and horse-drawn apparatus, the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904, as well as the reconstruction of Baltimore City's Engine House #8, the only cast-iron fire house in the area.
