The Plano Conservancy for Historic Preservation, Inc., a newly organized 501c3 non profit Texas Corporation, entered into an agreement with the City Of Plano to operate the Interurban Railway Station Depot Museum. This unique museum is focused on the Electric Railway System which operated in North Texas from 1908-1948.

The museum houses artifacts and displays from that system. In addition a one of a kind combination passenger/railroad postal car is displayed on the property. The old depot, which houses the museum was built in 1908, is an historic landmark.

The Museum is centrally located in the old downtown historic area of Plano. Children enjoy the atmosphere and adults appreciate the rare old photos and displays. The hours are 10-2 Monday-Friday and 1-5 on Saturday. Admission is free but all donations are greatly appreciated.
