Built in 1683 and occupied by Caleb Pusey, this is the only building still standing which can claim documented association with William Penn, and which he is known to have visited on several occasions. The cottage was continuously occupied as a residence from 1682 through 1959.

The museum was founded by many Civil War veterans as they started collecting their mementos from the war. Eventually they moved the collection to its present site. We have objects ranging from Meade's uniform to Jefferson Davis' smoking jacket, field medical kits, weaponry, even the head of General Meade's favorite horse, Old Baldy!

Multiple entrances on the lobby level allow kids to climb to a circular platform that overlooks the lobby entrance, while the upper level is wheelchair accessible — letting kids find fun in ways that go over the heads of their parents and teachers.

The restoration of the Hendrickson House took place in 1958, after it was moved to Wilmington to prevent its being torn down. The pine mantel and woodwork around the large fireplace are original, but the floorboards were taken from a Massachusetts farmhouse of the same period. The pine ceiling beams were made by hand as part of the restoration.

The Paper Mill House and Museum originally provided housing, in the 1800's for industrial workers who worked in the mills along Darby Creek. A large addition was added circa 1820. The older section was converted to a general store, circa 1845, to provide for the needs of the workers. Darby Creek runs through the property to the east of the building.

The Thomas Leiper Estate is a Registered Historic Place in Nether Providence Township, Pennsylvania. Built by Thomas Leiper around 1785, the estate was named Strath Haven after Leiper's birth place in Strathaven, Scotland.
The Friends of the Leiper House offers weekend guided tours of the house from April through December.
